ACE Expert Certification Program, Level 7

Becoming a true Arista Expert is no easy feat; it takes a special sort of Networking Engineer to pass the ACE:L6 Expert certification exam, becoming eligible to attempt the ACE:L7 Expert exam.

ACE:L7 is by invitation only, requiring ACE:L6 completion for eligibility.

The ACE:L7 exam is a 24 – hour practical exam, split into 3 parts over 3 separate days; each part must be completed and a pass must be obtained before progressing to the subsequent part.

Before you begin

Scheduling for this exam with your personal concierge is important and consists of 3 separate 8 – hr days, each crucial in order to progress through the exam. You will receive a Zoom link and start time, and you are free to take the exam from any location (home, office, etc,) on your own personal laptop/PC.


Exam Days

Each day you will be provided with a scenario consistent to the part of the exam you are due to take that day; this will include the likes of Data Center, Campus and Multi-datacenter, SP connectivity, and Automation. The exam will have components that you may configure in any way you wish (CLI, CloudVision, or through automation). There are other areas where you will not be allowed to use CLI and will need to be confident using CloudVision/Ansible/Python to complete the tasks.

There are no restrictions on using any resources available to complete your tasks. Any available resources may be used to complete your tasks; it is essentially an open book exam. There are no scenarios designed to trick you or tasks that are not used in typical production networks; you are graded on completion and functionality.

Arista ACE:L7 Expert Certification Numbering Format

Becoming Expert Certified is quite the accomplishment and we want your certification to represent you and your accomplishment, which is why your certification number is unique only to you!

Upon passing the ACE:L6 Expert exam, you will receive your unique certification number (explained above) which is in the format of a MAC address. When you pass the ACE:L7 Expert exam, the only part of your certification that changes is the ACE Level number (from 6 to 7), indicating you have earned the highest certification Arista has to offer!
